Opportunities for Service
Boaz Box and Food Pantry
There are many in our own neighborhood who are food-insecure. Our walk-up food pantry allows a subtle way to obtain needed food items. Your donated goods help fill the box and can be dropped off at the church. We are working on establishing a larger food pantry within our church as well, so your donations are greatly appreciated. If you’d like to be a part, contact Pastor Brian or the church office.
Three Chopt Elementary Partnership
Through our Womens Missionary Union group, we’ve established a relationship with one of our local elementary schools that provides needed school supplies and other support. Although emphasis is placed on the start of the school year, this is an on-going ministry that helps meet the need of our local neighborhood children and families—from notebooks, book bags, pencils and paper to supplementing “lunch accounts” for students who have fallen behind. We also provide some “treats” throughout the year to acknowledge the wonderful work of teachers and faculty. If you’d like to participate in this ministry, please contact Jean Austin or the church office.
Men’s Fellowship Breakfast
Is a ministry that brings together the men of our church for a time of fellowship, bible study, discussion, prayer and good eating! Join the men every Wednesday at Golden Coral on Broad Street at 8 am. Contact the church office for more information.
Ladies Fellowship Breakfast
Is a ministry for the ladies of the church to come together for fellowship, bible study, prayer and breakfast! The ladies meet once a month at 9 am at “Kitchen 33” on Staples Mill Rd. Call to reserve your spot and for the event date for the month. Contact Carolyn Tinsley or the church office.
Family Movie Nights
Is a ministry that provides a night out for our church members and local community to come together to watch a movie followed by a fellowship time over dessert/snacks. We’ve shown several movies from the “Sight and Sound” theatre productions (Joseph, Moses, Ruth, Queen Esther, Jesus) as well as “I Can Only Imagine”, “The Prayer Room” and “Hacksaw Ridge”. If you have a suggestion for a great family movie or you would be interested in helping to provide a dessert or snacks, contact Rick Tinsley or the church office.
Women’s Missionary Union (WMU)
All ladies are invited to join this wonderful group who organize monthly giving campaigns of clothing and goods to organizations and people in need. They meet once a month. For more information, contact Jean Austin or the church office.
Other Community Outreach Efforts
Our Community Outreach Efforts are our way of sharing Godʼs love beyond our church walls. We reach out to help our neighbors and make our community stronger. From food drives to helping hands, weʼre there. They show that a little kindness goes a long way. When we work together, we can do big things! Come join us and be a light in our community.
